Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a commitment to student success, and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. As a Middle School Math Teacher at our charter school, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding of mathematical concepts, fostering problem-solving skills, and preparing them for academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an engaging and rigorous math curriculum aligned with standards and school objectives.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and integrate math concepts across the curriculum.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues to support student success and well-being.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math instruction and pedagogy.
• Contribute to the school community by participating in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities.

Essential Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of middle school math concepts and proficiency in teaching a range of mathematical topics.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in North Carolina is preferred.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a charter school or diverse educational setting.
